The last author series of the year is spooky themed, featuring Daniel Meyer's book, Kentucky Haunts. Instead of lunch, we'll be providing finger food and light appetizers. Meyer's book explores the history, legends, and ghosts of more than 40 'haunted' Kentucky locations. Whether it's a well-wishing specter at Mark's Feed Store, the ghost bride of Cumberland Falls, or the danger at Child's Branch Bridge,  you'll be off on this ghostly journey. Fall Clean-Up Day November 3rd

Clean-Up Day is a chance for our community of dog walkers, joggers, neighborhood associations, high school clubs, and corporate groups to help us keep our 17 acres looking beautiful! Besides mulching trails, removing limbs, and clearing invasive species, volunteers can learn more about our recent Level 1 Arboretum accreditation. Tools are provided (or bring your own favorites!), and while supplies last, a t-shirt and work gloves. Volunteers will gather for instructions and work assignments at 9:00am. We will work until…

The Cottage is transformed into a creative wreath workshop during our A Kentucky Christmas at Ashland. There is a workshop at noon and 1:00pm. Our second Candlelight Open House Tour is Saturday, Dec. 8th. This year's theme is "Silver Bells and Wedding Belles." The mansion will be dressed to the nines in gorgeous silver and white decor and will feature wedding gowns from Kentucky brides in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Saturday, April 6 is the day history buffs and community volunteers become hands on at numerous historic sites across the country as part of the American Battlefield Trust’s, Park Day. Ashland joins this annual event as an opportunity for our many supporters, clubs, corporate groups, dog walkers, and joggers to give back by helping us weed invasive species, pick up branches and mulch Henry Clay’s walking paths. Wedding

Private wedding will be going on from 5:00-6:00. The house will be open for regular tours during the day (10:00-4:00) and the grounds will be open as usual from dawn to dusk. However, we ask that all photographers and prom-goers refrain from being on site during this private event.
