Join us at Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate, for a book signing and visit with Kentucky native and Bourbon County resident, author Estill Curtis Pennington, on Thursday, June 17 from 5:30-7:00 pm. Gather under the tent by the Café and Smokehouse. The Café will be open serving snacks and offering a cash bar. Pennington’s masterwork Matthew Harris Jouett, 1788-1827, His Life and Work–the definitive book on this famous Kentucky artist, will be available for purchase at $50 with all proceeds benefiting Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate. Pennington has served in curatorial capacities for the Smithsonian Institution, the Archives of American Art, the National Portrait Gallery, the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Morris Museum of Art. This event is made possible by the generosity of Kentucky Bank.
