Wattle refers to a material for making fences, walls, etc. consisting of stakes and interlacing branches. As shown in the photo, wattle fences today are a picturesque way to screen utilities, bins, or add definition in gardens.
You can learn this technique while working in community at the Ashland Wattle Workshops on the Henry Clay Estate. You will learn the technique while helping us create wattle fencing to surround our newly planted hemp plot.
The instructor is Justin Roberts of Walk the Willow in Murray, KY. Justin is a Kentucky Crafted Artist of the Kentucky Arts Council.
