Plan a Virtual Field Trip or Group Tour!
During the pandemic, Ashland is pleased to provide virtual tour opportunities for field trips and specialty groups alike. Staff can work to customize programs for different grade levels and the special interests of your group.
Signature Henry Clay Tour
This artifact driven tour takes students and visitors through the downstairs and upstairs of the mansion. Guides focus on Henry Clay, compromise, and the leading issue of Henry Clay’s time: slavery. Other themes can be added to coordinate more closely with specific lessons or group requests. The tour typically takes around one hour, but can be adapted to fit the needs of each group.
Traces: Slavery at Ashland
Walk in the footsteps of those enslaved at Ashland as you learn about family units, farming, and labor. Tour reflects appropriate themes for elementary through high school as well as adult groups. This tour lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Women of Ashland
Explore the lives of nine women of Ashland and how their lives demonstrate the changing roles of women from the late 18th to the mid-20th centuries. Tour lasts one hour, but can be adapted to fit time constraints.
Virtual Tour Fees
$45 for up to 10 connections. $75 for more than 10 connections.
